Steps:

  • In the theme editor (Customize), click Theme settings.

  • Make necessary changes.

  • Save.

1. Cart type and icon style

You can change the cart type and cart icon displayed on the site:

  • Cart type: Drawer/Page

  • Cart icon: Shopping cart/Shopping bag

2. Cart drawer

The cart drawer is a slide where the cart information will show. A side pops up whenever customers add an item to the cart, offering customers to continue shopping while they can see the cart information. Customers can also edit the quantity or add a specific note.

In the cart drawer settings, you can choose to:

  • Open when item added: let your customers check what's in their shopping cart without leaving the page

  • Show item count: display the total number of items in the shopping cart

  • Show view cart link: direct customers to the cart page

  • Enable cart note: let customers leave cart notes (or order notes) for the order. To edit your cart notes label, see this article.

  • Enable cart recommendations: display an automatically-generated or customized list of product recommendations randomly upon cart addition. This can boost your store cross-sell and drive conversions.

How are Zest's cart recommendations different from other themes? Many Shopify themes offer the cart recommendations feature. In these themes, the recommended items are relevant to the first product added to the cart. On the other hand, in Zest, the recommended items are relevant to all products added to the cart, raising the chance of better AOV.

The maximum number of recommended products per item displayed in the cart drawer is 3.

Shopify Search & Discovery app is required to display product recommendations.

To learn more about the recommendation logic, see Shopify's Recommendations.

To customize the recommendation list displayed on your product page and cart recommendations, see Shopify Help Center.

✨ The Cart recommendations feature is available on Zest version 5.0.0 and above

Step 2: Enable Free shipping message in Zest

When you're done configuring relevant Shopify settings, follow these steps to show your free shipping message in your storefront.

  1. In your theme editor (Customize), locate Theme settings > Cart.

  2. Check the Show free shipping message option and enable the confetti effect (optional).

  3. Add a motivational message to encourage customers buying more and reach the shipping goal.

  4. Fill in the minimum spend for free shipping using the same value as the one you set in Step 1.

  5. Click Save to finish.

  • The confetti effect only shows when the minimum spend is reached.

  • Use a round number without currency, symbols or letters as the minimum spend for free shipping.

4. Country Code

The code designates a country/region, which generally follows ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 guideline.
