# Mega menu not working when changing the store languages

## 🧾 The issue

Your **mega menu disappears or stops working** after switching your store to another language?

This often happens when the **Menu item fields are translated**, which breaks the connection between your theme settings and the mega menu layout.

The theme uses the setting to link with your mega menu blocks to the **Header** section.

If this field is translated (e.g. “Shop” becomes “Boutique”), the theme **can’t find the match anymore** — and your mega menu won’t appear.

## ✅ How to Fix it

**If you're using another translation app (e.g. Weglot, Langify, LangShop, etc.):**

🔍 Look for fields related to:

* **Theme settings**
* **Header group**
* **Menu titles / Navigation titles**

Here’s how to keep your mega menu working across languages:

Steps:

1. Go to your **Shopify Admin > Translate & Adapt**.
2. Click on the language you're translating.
3. Navigate to: **Section Groups > Header group**
4. **DO NOT translate** the fields related to Mega menu block.

These fields are the theme settings, leaving translations for these fields blank won't have any affect to the overall translation of the site.
