Customize the details of your email to ensure clear, engaging communication with your customers.

Edit email configs

Navigate to the Email Template Builder > Edit configs to modify and customize your email configurations as needed

  • Subject: Write a concise and descriptive subject line for your email. This appears as the main title in the recipient’s inbox.

  • Preview text: Add a short snippet (about 35 characters) that provides an overview of your email content. This text appears as a preview in the recipient’s inbox or in email notifications, giving customers a quick summary before opening the email.

  • From name: Specify the sender name that appears in the recipient’s inbox. You can use the default name or click Edit default to customize it.

  • Reply to: Define the email address that will receive replies from customers. You can use the default reply address or click Edit default to change it.

Add variables for personalized emails

While editing the email configs, you can insert variables to customize content for each customer or product, making every email more relevant and personalized.

Liquid variables available for templates

  • Product data: {{product.title}}, {{product.url}}, {{product.image}}, {{product.price}},...

  • Variant data: {{variant.title}}, {{variant.price}},...

  • Customer data: {{customer.first_name}}, {{customer.email}},...

  • Shop data: {{shop.name}}, {{shop.url}},...

  • Custom variables: {{unsubscribe_link}}, you can also type a custom variable you want to use > click Add to include it in your email. Learn more

How to use custom variables for email configuration

Adding custom variables for a specific email template

Choose an Email template > go to Edit Configs > Add the variable you want to the Custom Variables field > Click Add

Your custom variable is now available

Your custom variable will appear along with the code snippet below. You can edit or remove the custom variable whenever you want.

Use the variable in your email

Add that variable to the position you want within the email configs.

Add content for the variable

Go to the Workflow Builder > Add content to the variable field of that email template.
