# How to apply discount code

Apply a discount code to save on your XFlow subscription. This article explains how to use a discount code, what it applies to, and answers common questions about discounts.

**Before you start**

Make sure you have a valid discount code. Codes are **case-sensitive** and may only apply to specific plans or for a limited time. Check the source of your code for details.

## What discount codes apply to

Discounts apply **only to your plan's monthly subscription fee**. They **don't apply to usage fees**, which are charged separately based on your recovered revenue.

## Apply a discount code

To apply a discount code:

1. Open **XFlow** and go to **Plans & Billing**.
2. Click **Have a discount code? Enter here.**
3. Enter your discount code.
4. Click **Apply**.
5. Select or confirm your plan.
6. Approve the updated subscription in Shopify.

If the code is valid, the discounted subscription price is shown before you approve the charge.

## FAQs

**Does my discount apply to usage fees?**<br/>No. Discount codes apply only to your plan's monthly subscription fee. Usage fees are always charged at your plan's standard usage rate.

**Can I combine multiple discount codes?**<br/>No. Only one discount code can be applied to a subscription at a time.

**What happens if I change plans?**<br/>Changing plans creates a new subscription, and any previously applied discount is removed. To receive a discount on your new plan, you'll need a new valid discount code, if available.

**What happens if my discount expires?**<br/>When the discount ends, your subscription automatically renews at the plan's regular monthly price. Usage fee rates are not affected by the discount.
