# Custom links ![](https://docs-assets.foxecom.app/motrix-theme/1d18c44c-ed19-443a-bfc8-d81aa6e0e796.png) Your main menu is for browsing the catalogue. Custom links cover everything else a customer might reach for from any page — a help centre, order tracking, a store locator, a part finder. They sit apart from the menu, so they stay visible without competing with it. ## Where they appear Position depends on the [Header layout](https://docs.foxecom.com/motrix-theme/global-sections/header#layout) set in the Header section. * **Menu top**: At the right end of the slim navigation bar above the logo, after the language and country selectors.

On phones the header keeps only the menu button, logo, and icons, so put anything a mobile customer needs in the menu drawer instead. ## Add a link 1. In the theme editor, open the **Header** section and select the **Custom links** block. 2. Click **Add block**. 3. Choose **Custom link** for a plain text link, or **Button** for something that should stand out. 4. Fill in its label and destination, then click **Save**. Drag the items inside the block to reorder them. They appear in the header in the order they sit in the sidebar. ![](https://docs-assets.foxecom.app/motrix-theme/0a4666e9-9018-4185-ba7a-8cbe1130bf13.png) ## What you can add * **Custom link**: A plain text link that sits quietly alongside the icons. For secondary destinations such as a help centre or order status page. * **Button**: A styled button for the one action you want people to notice. For a part finder, a booking page, or a seasonal promotion. ## Tips * Keep it to two or three items. This space shares a row with your menu or your icons, and every link you add takes width from both. * Write short labels. Two words is comfortable, three is the limit before the row starts to crowd on smaller laptops. * Check the header at around 1200 px wide, not just full screen. That is where a long menu and a few custom links first start to collide.
