# Cart

Cart settings let you customize how the cart looks and behaves across your store. You can configure the cart type and icon, free shipping goal, and recommendations shown when the cart is empty.

## Steps

* In the theme editor (**Customize**), click **Theme settings.**
* Locate **Cart.**
* Make necessary changes.
* **Save.**

### Cart type & cart icon

* **Cart type:** Choose the cart display type as **Drawer** or **Page.**

    **Drawer** **type**: Side panel slides out every time a customer adds a product to the cart, allowing to continue shopping while viewing cart information, adjusting quantity, or adding separate notes.

    **Cart type**: Customers will be redirected to the cart page.

* **Cart icon:** Select the icon that represents the shopping cart.

* **Cart style:** Choose a border style for the icon.

### Free shipping goal

  To give free shipping to customers, make sure that you have properly configured your [shipping rates](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/setup/shipping-rates).

  **From version 1.4.0 and above**, the Free shipping goal supports multi-currency. You can set a different minimum amount for each currency your store supports.

* **Free shipping minimum amount**: Fill in the minimum amount spent for free shipping. You can support multiple currencies by separating each currency code and its amount with a comma (e.g. USD:100, EUR:95, JPY:13000)

### Cart empty recommendations

* **Message:** Enter the message content to display when the cart is empty.
* **Collection list:** Select the collections you want to introduce to customers when they view an empty shopping cart.
* **Image ratio:** Select the aspect ratio displayed for the suggested collections — Adapt to image, Square, Portrait, or Landscape.

Once the **Cart type** is set to **Drawer**, here's how to customize your cart:
