# Add custom badges to products

Use custom badges to highlight important product information, such as **New Arrival**, **Limited Edition**, **Best Seller**, or any **custom text** that fits your brand.

This guide shows you how to create and display custom product badges with your own text. These badges help draw attention to featured products and communicate key information at a glance.

## Add product tags for your custom badges (Shopify admin)

Add one or more supported **product tags** to the products where you'd like the custom badges to appear.

`tag__hot_[DISPLAY TEXT]`

`tag__new_[DISPLAY TEXT]`

`tag__sale_[DISPLAY TEXT]`

## Add the custom badges to the product page (Theme editor)

1. In the theme editor (**Edit theme**), go to the product page.
2. Under the **Product information** section, add the **Badges and Tags** (in Sleek) **or Custom tags** (in Zest, Minimog and Megamog) block.
3. Drag to reorder the block if you want.
4. Click **Save.**

The custom badges will be **automatically displayed** on your product card (product listing) when the supported product tags are added.
