Shopify adds a **Powered by Shopify** message to your store's footer by default.

If you'd like to remove it, follow the steps below. No coding experience needed.

**Steps:**

1. In your Shopify Admin, go to: **Online Store > Themes > Actions (⋯) > Edit code.**![](https://docs-assets.foxecom.app/shared-documentation/fd0af8eb-6587-4a25-85f4-fe6d89487218.png)
2. In the sidebar, open the folder: **sections > footer.liquid.**
3. Use **Ctrl+F (Windows)** or **Cmd+F (Mac)** to search: `powered_by_link`

5. **Delete that entire line**.
