# Save and reuse design assets
Build a section or element once and add it to any page in a few seconds, without recreating it.
## When to use
Best fits for:
* **Store-wide blocks you use on many pages**, like shipping and returns info, trust badges, or a newsletter signup.
* **Campaign pieces**, like a promo banner or countdown you want on several landing pages during a sale.
* **Styled building blocks**, like a button, product card layout, or FAQ section that you've styled to match your brand.
Each saved asset is a **copy**. When you add it to a page, you can edit it freely without changing the original asset or other pages.
### How is this different from similar features?
## Save a section or element as an asset
1. Select the section or element in the editor.
2. Right-click it, or select **More (⋮)** in its toolbar, then select **Save as asset**.
3. Enter a clear name.
4. Select **Save**.

## Add a saved asset to a page
1. Open **Add elements** (**E**), then select **Saved assets**.
2. Choose a category. Assets are grouped into sections and element types.
3. Drag the asset onto your page.
## Rename or delete an asset
1. Open **Add elements** (**E**) > **Saved assets**, then find the asset.
2. Select the **More actions** icon (⋯) next to it.
3. Select **Rename asset** or **Delete asset**.
Deleting an asset doesn't remove it from pages where you've already used it. You can't undo deleting an asset.
## FAQs
#### If I edit an asset on one page, do other pages update?
No. Each time you add an asset, it's an independent copy. To use an updated version on other pages, save the edited version as a new asset, then replace the old one on each page.
#### Can I use a saved asset on any page type?
Most assets work on any page. Some assets only work on the page type they were made for. For example, a **Main collection** section only works on collection templates.
#### Does a saved asset keep its content, like products or images?
Yes. A saved asset keeps everything exactly as you saved it, including selected products and collections, images, text, and links. After adding it to a page, check that the products and links still fit that page.
#### Can I use my saved assets in another store?
No. Saved assets belong to the store where you saved them. To use a design in another store that has Foxify installed, export it from this store and import it into the other one.
