# Text styling not applying correctly

If styling (font size, color, weight) won't apply to your text, or a change you make on Desktop unexpectedly also affects Mobile or Tablet, this is almost always caused by invisible formatting carried over when the text was copied and pasted from somewhere else — not a Foxify bug.

## Why this happens

Pasting content from Google Docs, Notion, a website, or similar often brings hidden formatting tags along with it. These can override Foxify's native styling, interfere with how styles sync between device views, and stop your own styling from applying properly.

## How to fix it

### 1. Paste as plain text going forward

Use `Ctrl+Shift+V` (Windows) or `Cmd+Shift+Option+V` (Mac) instead of the regular paste shortcut — this strips hidden formatting so Foxify can style the text cleanly from the start.

### 2. Fix text you've already pasted

1. Select the text block.
2. Delete the text and re-paste it using the plain-text shortcut above.
3. Re-apply your styling (font, size, color, spacing, etc.).
4. Check **Mobile**, **Tablet**, and **Desktop** views to confirm the fix holds across all three.
