# How do I track button clicks? Tracking button clicks tells you which calls to action are actually driving engagement, so you can double down on what works. Foxify's Button element has built-in support for sending click events straight to Google Analytics and Meta Pixel — no custom code required. ## Instructions 1. Find the button you want to track and click it to open its settings in the Inspector panel. 2. Toggle **Enable tracking events** to ON. 3. Under **GA Event name**, enter the event you want to send to Google Analytics (e.g. `button_click`). 4. Choose an event from the dropdown: `ViewContent`, `AddToCart`, `InitiateCheckout`, `Purchase`, `Lead`, `CompleteRegistration`, or `Custom` (name your own, e.g. `BuyNowClick`). 5. Click **Save** in the top right corner to apply the changes. ![](https://docs-assets.foxecom.app/faqs-and-troubleshooting/b442d88e-0dd7-4ae7-af92-9cf261c30203.png) ## Verify it's working Open GTM's Preview mode (or the Tag Assistant extension) and click the button on your live page to confirm the event fires. For Meta Pixel, use the Meta Pixel Helper Chrome extension to confirm the event is received. ## Tips and best practices * Set up Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel on your store before adding tracking events — the toggle only sends events to accounts that are already connected. * Use a distinct event name per action so your reports stay easy to read instead of lumping every click under one generic name. * Repeat this process for each button you want to track — Add to cart, Buy now, newsletter signup, and so on.
